We all have dreams, something we want for ourselves. We might start with understanding what we don’t like about life. This may lead to having a vague idea about what we want, which then develops over time to become a very clear picture of what we want. This is the starting point, where it all begins. This may not seem like a big deal when your dreams are small town and easily achievable, but do not underestimate the importance of such a small step as this leads to confidence and getting a sense of the power we each yield. The more confidence we have in ourselves and our abilities to make things happen, the more we are able to achieve.
It takes courage and determination to bring about dreams, but it also takes persistence and a stern stubbornness that does not allow one to give up in the face of fear. I have found sometimes this stubbornness works against you, such as when something is not meant for you but you hold on tight for fear of moving forward into unfamiliar territory. It might be a relationship you are holding on to; a job, lifestyle, a car, and/or a home. It is a constant assessment of ‘Is this right for me?’, ‘Is this another step I need to take to move forward and to bring my dream to life?’.
Whatever it is, if it is not meant for you then you can be assured that there is something better waiting, you just have to trust, you have to hold faith that everything is working out for you. Sometimes it is hard to trust. Sometimes things are so damn scary that you just don’t see a way forward, but I have found the more courage I find to face my fear, the more miracles I notice. Sometimes it feels like I am giving up or that I have gone backwards even, but looking back at my life as a whole, I see that these have only been times of rest. Times for me to really get into what is going on and do my best to work it through.
The first thing that happens during one of these times is I feel like everything is falling apart. I feel fear and am afraid to move forward, to make decisions in case I make the wrong one. Sometimes I can see this fear for what it is and it goes away, other times it is right up in my face and I feel frozen and consumed by it. At this time whatever is behind my fear is ready to come out. Sometimes I might talk it through with someone but this doesn’t tend to work so much, as people feel the need to fix you, rather than let you get it all out and work things out for yourself. I find it much easier to get to the bottom of it by writing it out. I start by what is troubling me on the surface and before long the underlying issue becomes clear.
With what I understand about the recuperation or healing process is that everything we have failed to deal with properly has to come up and out. I guess it doesn’t have to, but if you want things to change, it does. If you want to bring your dreams to reality, then it does. Your beliefs, habits, thoughts and feelings have to be in line with what it is you want. If these things are not in line, then you will be actively blocking what you want from coming to be. The wonderful part is that whether you understand what is happening or not, your Higher Self is bringing about this alignment. Your Higher Self, the part of you deep within which is connected to source or all that is, is working with you to bring about your dreams.
Sometimes it feels like the opposite is happening but that is just because we do not have all the pieces of the puzzle. We don’t have a decent understanding of what is happening to us or why. I think that some of what is happening is to do with why we are here and whatever else is happening is happening because we have put our dreams out there and our Higher Selves are working in creative ways to bring those dreams to be. We are co-creators. I am sure if we let go and work with life instead of holding on to what we know, life will show its hand and you will see that everything is working out with and for you.
You don’t have to go it alone. Find something that works for you, something or someone that supports you in this process. It will make all the difference. There will always be more and more dreams to bring about so be sure to acknowledge and celebrate these achievements as they come to be.
